Farewell to family, on the road
Adventure to places new, to places known, to places loved
Walkabout a journey of importance
Spiritual – go walk about to find yourself, to meditate, think
Physical – new places, new people, new land
To gain unity of the spirit and body
To witness brolga dance, wombat crawl, emu run
To hear kookaburra laugh, nightingale sing
To understand the tracks of snake, kangaroo and koala

I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plans
Of rugged mountain ranges of droughts and flooding plans
